Literature Live on Resonance FM

Literature Live returned in spring 2026 for a new season on London’s arts radio station Resonance 104.4fm – broadcasting live on FM in London, online and on DAB.

Literature Live broadcasts at 8:00 pm on the second Monday of each month through 2026 (excluding the August break).

London author Tony White presents readings and chat with some of the best novelists and short story writers around, in a monthly programme focusing on live literature with the emphasis on authors reading from and discussing their fiction live on the air.

My guests on Literature Live 13 July are M.H. Ayinde and Mahmud El Sayed, for a Future Worlds Prize special. I can’t wait to talk about all things scifi and fantasy, and hear some short readings from these two brilliant and award-winning authors. Tune in to Resonance 104.4fm in London, online, or via the Radioplayer app and join us!

Modupe H. Ayinde is the Sunday Times bestselling author of epic fantasy novel A SONG OF LEGENDS LOST (Orbit UK/Saga Press) and its sequel A DANCE OF BURNING BLADES. She is an Ignyte, Locus, and British Fantasy Award finalist. Her short fiction has appeared in FIYAH Literary Magazine, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Fantasy Magazine, and elsewhere, and she was the 2021 winner of the Future Worlds Prize. She lives in London with three generations of her family and their Studio Ghibli obsession.

Mahmud El Sayed is a British-Egyptian SFF writer and translator. He lives in East London where he spends his time pondering linguistic oddities and running story ideas by his cat. A former journalist, he covered ‘serious’ Middle Eastern politics until he had enough of chasing people up for boring quotes and decided to write about generation ships, sentient libraries and memory taxes instead. He won the prestigious 2023 Future Worlds prize for Fantasy and Science Fiction Writers of Colour and his work focuses on Arabic and Islamic-inspired themes in a genre he is calling Arabfuturism.

Show repeats 10:00 am, Tuesday 14 July 2026.
